Gain the whole world!!!!

I have just finished watching National Treasure (the first one). Towards the end of the movie they discover the treasure under the church. There was so much treasure that would possibly cover an entire football field. One of the guys is not paying any attention to the treasure all he is concerned about is how they are going to get out. he is asked at one stage if he is crying and he points to a staircase in the distance and says “the way out”!

This is when I thought, what if they had gone through all the near death experiences to get to the treasure  then when they had it they had no way to get out to ever enjoy it. That is what life will be like without Jesus being our treasure. We will narrowly escape death and then when we have all the worldly treasure if Jesus is not Lord of or lives we will have wealth and treasure but no way out!

“What if a man gains the whole world yet looses His soul?”

Fodder

I see life differently nowadays! In the past the things I experienced would be soon forgotten, well to some degree that is. Currently I treat each experience as a possible post on my blog, which I now call “blog fodder”.

The danger with this is that I stand the chance of becoming obsessed with blogging and not living life for what it is intended to be. But, then again what a great forum this is to share all my experiences and learn from others.

Keep blogging people I love learning from all your life experiences, and on occasion  stealing your ideas as blog fodder.

Brrrrrrr

I am not too sure that I am enjoying winter so far this year! It is not because it is cold it is mainly because I am a fair weather exerciser and the weather “she is not fair”! I realize that I am supposed to be in off season training, but still running and riding in the rain is no fun….go ahead call me a wet if you must.

I just prefer those pristine days that we get here in the beautiful Cape, when you can go out and enjoy the most majestic beauty in the world!

Well, not much I can do about the weather patterns, so it is back to training like a hamster in the gym (yawn)!

Come on summer!

FORMICATION

Over the past 3 days I have been suffering from formication! It is an abnormal skin sensation similar to that of bugs or insects crawling on or in your skin. To make things worse a warning of Violin Spiders has been put out by our department of health. This spider is one of South Africa’s most venomous spiders, and they are breeding at a frightening rate. You can see the effects of a bite not for sensitive viewers .

Well needless to say the sensation on my skin has intensified and now I walk around the house armed with a can of target (bug spray) and every spider or bug is a casualty. The tank is showing no mercy on bugs!!!

Ok, so now you are also experiencing that crawly sensation all over your skin!

Stop Scratching you formicator!

Watching Paint Dry

I am not sure why I often get subjected to processes that are like watching paint dry! If I got paid for the amount times I have watched how spherical beads of polymer paints form I would be a very wealthy man! Truth is I do not get paid, but Do enjoy the fact that I get to blog in these times! Can you believe that there are people who get paid to watch paint drying. Have a little read here Anyway, share some of your wierd salaried discoveries with me.

Have a blast!

Pressure

Well it seems that this is the week for some additional pressure in my life! Besides the fact that everyone has pressured me into starting  a blog that is about my everyday life, I have a conference to prepare for!

This is the formula for pressure! Pressure equals Frank over ass or Pressure equals dumb Frank who is a dumb ass! Yip it all has to do with how I respond to pressure and my attitude! I have tried the whole day to keep it tidy and make sure that it is not the latter!

I have had to laugh allot today! There has to be a release valve for all that pressure; laughter is a cost-effective solution. If fast relief is what you’re after, then laughter really is the best medicine.

It’s virtually impossible to laugh and feel bad at the same time!

Have a blast!!!
